Westgate Resorts just announced more than $61 million in new Central Florida construction at its growing timeshare empire.

 

April 25, 2016 – Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, one of Orlando’s iconic and centrally located destination resorts, has recently expanded its meeting offerings with the opening of 20,000 square feet of new meeting and banquet space. The 2,300-villa, luxury condominium resort now offers a total of 36,000 square feet of meeting space.

The new meeting space is located on the top floor of the new seven-story, mixed-use development, which includes award-winning restaurant concepts, a parking garage, retail shops and other entertainment venues. The first phase of this $20 million project is complete and includes the meeting space, 500-car parking garage and valet drop off. The restaurant and retail spaces will be completed this year.

The flexible meeting space offers stunning 360-degree views of Orlando with giant windows overlooking the Orange County Convention Center with views of the nightly fireworks from Central Florida’s major theme parks.

From an elegant banquet to a business session, the space is completely flexible. It can be divided into eight rooms and windows can be prominently displayed or covered. The space can accommodate up to 1,000 people and a boardroom offers ideal space for board retreats and executive meetings.

In addition to the space, all groups can take advantage of the Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa world-class banquet menu, offering a wide variety of catering options to meet any group’s needs.

Planners can also choose from on-site entertainment venues, including a Sunset Key – a private island in the middle of a spring-fed 85-acre lake that makes the perfect setting for weddings, receptions and themed parties. The resort also includes a variety of amenities for groups, including an award-winning health spa and fitness center, marina with boat and kayak rentals, game room with bowling alley, putt-putt golf and a variety of indoor and outdoor bars.
